THE PAUL FIRM
We don’t just understand the law; We understand people.
Our firm was built on the understanding that the law is one of many tools a lawyer can use to serve clients. We combine sharp investigation, litigation and business experience with a human-focused, emotionally intelligent approach to help clients strategically tackle and resolve even the most high-stakes and complex personal and business challenges. Clients seek our insight and trust our process — valuing not just what we do, but how we do it.
Our Founder
Former federal and state sex crimes prosecutor Rena Paul brings nearly two decades of experience in high-stakes litigation, complex investigations and appellate work. Rena’s practice combines a sharp strategic eye with a compassionate and humanistic approach. As an entrepreneur who has founded multiple successful businesses, she blends sophisticated legal strategy with strong business acumen. Her deep experience with sexual misconduct and child safety matters is a valuable asset to both clients and fellow attorneys.
Rena began her career at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office where she served in the Sex Crimes Unit, then went on to become a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York where she led matters involving criminal enterprises, child exploitation, gang violence and sex trafficking. Rena went on to handle sensitive matters in the private sector, first at a global investigation firm, then as an attorney.
Since leaving government service, Rena has founded multiple successful businesses. In 2022, she was selected as a fellow by the prestigious Tory Burch Fellowship. In 2025, Rena was chosen for the highly regarded Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, a competitive initiative that supports entrepreneurs nationwide.
